15.01.2026 – At the end of last year, our planning colleagues from our office once again visited the site to see for themselves the current progress of the quay wall renovation in Hamburg-Neumühlen.
The renovation is being carried out using a simple back-anchored combined sheet pile wall with reinforced concrete beams. Construction work is in full swing and well advanced. Work is currently underway on the production and testing of micro-injection piles, the backfilling between the old and new quay walls, and the reinforced concrete beams.
We would like to thank Depenbrock Ingenieurwasserbau GmbH for their excellent cooperation and for giving us the opportunity to visit the construction site.
Safety-related damage to the existing quay wall structure made the renovation work necessary. The work along Hamburg’s “string of pearls” is expected to continue until mid-2026.
