10.12.2024 - Last week, colleagues from our office visited the site to observe the progress of our planning project for the quay wall renovation in Neumühlen. Following a successful planning phase, renovation works on the quay wall commenced at the beginning of 2024.
The work is being carried out primarily from the water, using the 73 m long and 24 m wide jack-up platform “Simone”. Particularly impressive was the drilling rig, which is used to drill boreholes approximately 30 m deep and 2 m in diameter, into which the 1.4-m-thick supporting pipes of the combined pipe sheet pile wall are inserted.
We would like to thank the contractor, Depenbrock Ingenieurwasserbau GmbH, for their excellent co-operation and for the opportunity to visit the construction site. The work along Hamburg’s “string of pearls” will continue until around mid-2026.
