High environmental standards and laboratory requirements.
22.11.2023 – Planning is under way: A large new laboratory building is under construction for the Institute for Hygiene and Environment (HU) on the Bille peninsula in Hamburg's Rothenburgsort district. And we are involved as structural engineers!
The technical and spatial possibilities at the institute's current location no longer meet the requirements for future laboratory operations. The new building, with around 40,000 square metres, must meet high environmental standards and laboratory requirements. In a Europe-wide, anonymised award procedure, the Dresden-based architectural firm Rohdecan won the competition with its design (report on Baunetz.de).
We now look forward to being commissioned as structural engineers and to supporting the architects in implementing their design, together with the entire planning team, to meet the goals set by the client and the users.
