05.11.2025 - Following extensive renovation work, the long-awaited reopening of the Schwerin Art Museum took place on 29 October 2025 with a grand ceremony.
Renovations and structural alterations were necessary, including the installation of lifts for disabled access, the construction of a new entrance façade, the creation of new doorways and the installation of modern building services. In addition, existing damage to the supporting structure had to be repaired in accordance with heritage conservation requirements. The general conversion and historic preservation renovation and restoration work was supported by a generous donation from Mr Otto.
We are delighted that our engineering firm was able to participate in the planning and are very pleased with the successful implementation. We are also delighted that admission will be free for everyone for the next four years, which we will certainly take full advantage of.
