Topping-out ceremony for the coop headquarters district in Kiel.
15.09.2025 – Yesterday, coop celebrated the topping-out ceremony for its new headquarters in the Gaarden district of Kiel together with builders and planners.
The shell of its new headquarters, which will include additional office space, apartments, doctors' surgeries, a daycare centre and a large REWE supermarket, is now largely complete.
In the welcoming speeches, the significance of the construction site as the former location of the consumer cooperative and later Coop was emphasised. The first tenants will soon move into the new headquarters. Construction of the 25,000 square metre residential and commercial space is scheduled for completion next summer.
