Preparatory measures for Kriegenbrunn lock in full swing.
16.12.2024 - The symbolic start of construction took place at the end of July 2024 with the groundbreaking ceremony and a public festival. In the meantime, important preparatory construction measures are in full swing.
These include the installation of several temporary steel bridges with prefabricated road surfaces, the construction of the west and centre cofferdams, and the installation of reinforced bored piles with a diameter of 90 cm for the crane track that is planned along the main excavation pit. For the overlapping pile walls of the main excavation, which is up to 29 metres deep, primary piles (150 cm in diameter) and secondary piles (200 cm in diameter) are being successively constructed.
As structural inspection engineers, we are carrying out the technical review of the required construction documents in close coordination with the client and the contractor. This ensures that the work for the replacement construction can be progressed smoothly and on schedule.
