22.11.2024 - The new Deutschlandhaus in Hamburg is one of the outstanding architectural projects featured in the newly published yearbook “Architecture in Hamburg 2024/2025” by the Hamburg Chamber of Architects.
“Around the Corner” (“Um die Ecke”) - this is the title of the yearbook’s laudatory text for the new Deutschlandhaus. And that is precisely what makes this building special: like its predecessor, it nestles elegantly into the urban space. And it now seamlessly forms the north-western corner of Gänsemarkt alongside the historic building of the finance authority. The overall concept, materials and design were praised, and the interior courtyard, covered by a glass roof and well-lit, was singled out for particular attention.
