03.05.2024 – A new planning contract: Refurbishment of the venerable old office building of Hamburg’s finance authority (formerly called the Finance Deputation) on Hamburg's Gänsemarkt.
The almost 100-year-old, listed Schumacher building on Gänsemarkt in Hamburg's city centre must be renovated and adapted to the current requirements of the user and to the legal requirements of occupational health and safety and fire protection. In addition, substantial damage to the building's load-bearing structure - in particular the foundations - must be repaired.
Following the recent successful completion of the Deutschlandhaus, situated directly opposite, in the planning of which we were involved as structural engineers, we are now pleased to have been commissioned with the engineering services for structural planning and building physics for this very special cultural monument to Hamburg's architectural history.
