Guided Tour: Architectural monument on Gänsemarkt.
10.06.2025 - The Architecture and Engineering Day 2025 in Hamburg will take place on 28 and 29 June. Numerous guided tours are on offer. The historic building of the Finance Authority, the former Finance Deputation, on Gänsemarkt is also included. Planning for a refurbishment is currently underway.
The 21,000 square metre building will be 100 years old in December 2026. This special cultural monument in Hamburg's architectural history is one of the most important testimonies to Fritz Schumacher's work in Hamburg. The refurbishment is urgently needed in order to preserve the building's substance and continue to use it as an office building in the long term, in particular for the Hamburg Finance Authority. The refurbishment project is being coordinated by Sprinkenhof GmbH. Our engineering office is contributing with the engineering services of structural design and building physics.
Sprinkenhof GmbH will present the project on Saturday, 28 June at 10, 11 and 12:15 am. The meeting point is in front of the building at Gänsemarkt 36.
