11.05.2026 – Work on the listed building of the Finance Authority, the former Finance Deputation, on Gänsemarkt is continuing to progress. Structural engineering efforts are currently focused on renovating the damaged basement floor to ensure the building’s long-term stability.
At present, “Titan” micro-piles are being installed in confined conditions to transfer loads specifically into load-bearing soil layers at depths of up to 12 metres. The micro-piling work is nearing completion. This will be followed by the pre-fabrication of pile-cap foundations for new steel columns.
In parallel, further renovation work is underway in the historic building, including façade renovation, concrete repair, the demolition of walls and the renewal of building services. This represents a significant contribution to the preservation and sustainable use of the listed building.
