Structural inspection.

Large pits – short cranes.

27.04.2026 – On the A281 Autobahn project in Bremen, the western trough and tunnel sections are currently being constructed within a waterproof excavation pit.

The A281 motorway junction in Bremen is set to complete the ring road around the city. Several engineering structures are required to close the gap in this approximately 1.9 kilometres long construction section. Despite the large excavation pit, the crane has a relatively low height. This is due to the immediate proximity to Bremen Airport, which imposes specific restrictions on the maximum permissible crane height.

As inspection engineers, we are responsible for the structural review of the necessary construction documents, which we carry out on an ongoing basis throughout the construction process and in close coordination with the client and the contractor.
