25.11.2024 - The Hamburg Chamber of Architects' yearbook “Architecture in Hamburg 2024/2025” has been published. In addition to outstanding architectural projects, it also presents and honours overarching themes in Hamburg's urban development.
These include the new promenades and open spaces in Hamburg's HafenCity, specifically in the Elbbrücken and Baakenhafen districts. Our engineering office was responsible for designing the civil engineering structures for flood protection and elevation transitions, which have been seamlessly integrated into the open space design as high-quality staircases, ramps, and stepped seating areas.
The yearbook recognises the exceptional quality of the new quayside promenades and their ‘Hanseatic and relaxed’ character. We are delighted by this recognition and by the positive reception of the collaborative planning efforts by both Hamburg residents and visitors alike.
