Rothenburgsort landmark is without scaffolding again.
20.08.2024 – The renovation work on the listed pressure tower at the Hamburg Wasser waterworks in Rothenburgsort was completed recently.
The unsightly large crack in the exterior masonry resulting from past lightning damage as well as many small cracks have been professionally treated, the windows and the roof seal have been renewed, and the spectacular interior spiral staircase – in a departure from the original planning – has also been reinforced in harmony with the building’s design and materials and in close coordination with the historical monument conservation authorities.
Together with the client, the planning architect and the contractors, we are delighted with the impressive result of our joint efforts in planning and execution.
