06.06.2025 - 28 and 29 June is "Architecture and Engineering Day" in Hamburg. You are cordially invited: Exclusive guided site tour at the quay wall in Neumühlen.
What happens on this construction site? Safety-relevant damage had occurred to the existing structure of the quay wall. The sheet pile wall bulged massively under water. The promenade along the so-called "Hamburg string of pearls" had to be closed and emergency safety measures carried out to temporarily secure the existing structure. The existing bank wall is currently being renovated. This is largely being carried out with floating equipment from the water by means of a new replacement structure in the form of a combined pipe sheet pile wall in front and a back anchorage made of inclined micro-grouted piles.
Our guided tours start on Sunday 29 June at 11 am, 12:30 noon and 2 pm. Meeting point: Promenade Neumühlen, Höhe Neumühlen 19, Schlepperbrücke, Access from south. All interested parties are welcome.
