Guided tour: the art of engineering around Baakenhafen.
11.06.2024 - 29 and 30 June is "Architecture and Engineering Day" in Hamburg. We cordially invite you to an exclusive guided tour through the Elbbrücken and Baakenhafen districts in HafenCity.
Our guided tours start on Saturday 29 June at 12 noon, 1:15 pm and 2:30 pm. Meeting point: Amerigo-Vespucci-Platz (down by the water). All interested parties are welcome.
New open spaces are being created around the Baakenhafen harbour, encouraging visitors to linger and enjoy the maritime flair. Well hidden beneath staircases, ramps and seating steps in high-quality design, concealed engineering structures ensure that the open spaces with their terrain elevations are secure even at high tide.
The tour leads along engineering structures that are completed or still under construction and reveals construction challenges that are not recognisable at first glance.
