28.02.2024 – New planning contract: waterfront structures in the Moldauhafen quarter.
With the new “Grasbrook” district, Hamburg’s leap across the Elbe will be completed. A large part of the harbour area of “Kleiner Grasbrook” will be newly developed as a mixed-use urban quarter for living and working. The “Grasbrook” district comprises several inland islands. Striking transitions between land and water are planned in the form of waterfront structures with quay walls and embankments. On the one hand, these will fulfil the functional purpose of securing the elevated terrain. At the same time, they will be integrated into the open space planning. The embankments in the Moldauhafen will be designed to be as close to natural as possible, so that new biotopes can develop.
We are pleased to have the opportunity to carry out the project and structural planning, including BIM planning, for the waterfront structures in the Moldauhafen quarter over a total length of approx. 2.5 km.
