The Hansabrücken (Hansa Bridges) are road and rail bridges that connect Hamburg’s southern port area with the district of Kleiner Grasbrook. With the port railway, they represent the only landside connection to these port areas. Maintaining the route is of great importance. The superstructures and especially the abutments are in poor condition and need to be repaired or renewed.
In an extended feasibility study, all options are being examined to ensure that traffic can continue to cross the bridges safely in the future.
The planning is being carried out in a pilot project using the BIM method. We are pleased to be able to actively contribute to the establishment of the BIM method with this project.
