13.06.2025 - The refurbishment of the Himmelstadt barrage on the River Main was successfully completed with the installation of a large wheel.
As inspection engineers (Prüfingenieure), we inspected the mechanical and technical verifications for the large wheel of one of the three cogwheel stages of a wind turbine as part of the refurbishment. The barrage is an engineering structure for damming the River Main to regulate the water level in the headwater. The main structure is the weir system.
The large wheel was installed using a mobile crane.
Now this wind turbine is running smoothly again and the weir gates can be moved safely once more.
