17.07.2025 - The shell construction work for the new coop head office neighbourhood is progressing rapidly. The date for the topping-out ceremony has already been set.
The coop is developing a large new building complex for its head office in Kiel with additional office spaces, flats, doctors' surgeries, a nursery school, a large supermarket, and parking spaces in the basement. Five building construction cranes are now at work, meaning that the shell for the total of five buildings has risen very quickly over the past six months. As the structural engineers, INGENIEURBÜRO DR. BINNEWIES was not only responsible for the structural design and static calculations. Our tasks also included the complete execution planning of the reinforced concrete works. This needed to be prepared on schedule, while taking account of the diverse constraints of the architectural design and the large number of changes that were required.
We are looking forward to the topping-out ceremony in September at the end of the shell construction work.
