15.07.2025 - In Hamburg's Winterhude district, we are supporting the challenging conversion of an urban villa directly on the Leinpfad canal as structural engineers. Work has now begun on the construction of the micropiles - an important milestone in this complex building project.
The demolition of the interior building structure has already been completed. Parts of the existing façade will be retained in accordance with urban conservation regulations. This places special demands on the planning and execution, as the remaining existing walls are secured in the construction stage by a system of internal, stiffening steel girders.
The interfaces between demolition, securing the existing structure, pile construction and new construction make the construction process particularly challenging.
