02.07.2025 - We have a new planning contract: renovation, complete repair and widening of the Mühlentor Bridge.
The 3-span truss suspension bridge is a special work of architecture and engineering design from the heyday of industrialisation. Built in 1898, the Mühlentor Bridge has now been suspended from so-called drawbars over the Elbe-Lübeck Canal for 127 years, smoothing the way for traffic into and out of Lübeck's historic city centre. The riveted steel structure is one of only a few of its kind left in Germany and is a listed building.
The bridge is now in urgent need of a complete refurbishment. At the same time, it needs to be adapted to current and future requirements.
We were commissioned with the BIM planning services for the preservation and repair, as well as a widening on both sides. An exciting and complex task that we are very much looking forward to!
