Dismantling is complete.

First labyrinth weir in Germany is “growing”.

13.12.2024 – Work on the construction of the new weir structure in Schorfheide is progressing. The dismantling of the old weir has already been completed.

At the barrages in Schorfheide, Zaaren und Regow, an trio of labyrinth weirs is being built to replace the ageing existing weir structures.

In Schorfheide, following completion of the temporary bypass channel – including the underwater concrete base and gate – the sheet pile walls for the construction pit of the new weir structure have been installed. Under the protection of this sheet piling, the existing weir has now been dismantled.

The next important step is the installation of the underwater concrete base and base slab for the new weir structure. We have concluded the structural engineering review of the design documents necessary for this. So the first labyrinth weir in Germany can continue to “grow”.
