Reinforced foundation: The Überseehaus will be modern.
21.03.2024 - The foundation work in the underground car park of the existing building is progressing rapidly, despite the very cramped conditions.
Quest Investment Partners are developing new and modern office and retail spaces in the ageing Überseehaus at Baumwall, overlooking the harbour and opposite the Elbphilharmonie concert hall.
Since the end of January, after completion of the gutting work, 96 grouting piles have been installed through the old water-impermeable sole of the existing building in very tight conditions in the underground car park as a foundation for the nine-storey extension.
Despite the complexity of the existing situation, the work is progressing rapidly thanks to the intensive preliminary planning work and will be completed shortly. The reinforced concrete work for the growing construction can then start immediately.
