Conversion of office building.

The crane is standing.

07.03.2025 - The 80 metre high construction crane was erected for the further construction work on the former DB headquarters in Frankfurt am Main.

The crane had to be positioned close to the central tower of the building and therefore stands on the underground car park ceiling. Its loads are transferred to the foundation via temporary reinforced concrete supports and individual foundations. This also allowed work to begin on repairing the roof. At the same time, the structural work in the building is underway. New door openings, ceiling closures and door closures are being created in the load-bearing and bracing walls of the cores of all wings of the building.

The former DB headquarters in Frankfurt is to be converted for flexible and contemporary office use with several tenants as well as retail and catering space on the ground floor. The special appearance of the building as a purely exposed concrete structure with an external reinforced concrete supporting structure will be retained and the requirements of the preservation order will be implemented.
